THE Turf Plan® - GOLD LEVEL
This five step program meets the basic needs of cool season species and will blow the socks off the products offered by the big-box stores, and even the #1 national 4-step program. And, it all comes at a lower price! It’s even better than the quality you’ll get from the lawn care companies. We recommend this program for lawns without irrigation systems.
THE Turf Plan® - PLATINUM LEVEL
This eight step program is designed for the individual that really wants the turf bragging rights! It’s a bit more intensive than the GOLD LEVEL, with the additional three steps. Warning! You’d better be prepared all the compliments and questions! Once you get to this point, you’ve earned the right to call your beautiful lawn a “sward!”
THE Turf Plan® - WARM SEASON
Zoysiagrass and bermudagrass management is completely different, almost opposite cool season turf management. But do the big box stores or and the national bagged programs bother to tell you this? Heck no, they don’t. This plan has four steps, one for each month from May to August.
What am I Paying For
We let the customer decide how much of the turf management process they want to be involved with. Customers select the plan they want, and either do-it-themselves or hire THE Turf Plan® to do the work. Customers can spread the fertilizers on their own and hire us to spray for broadleaf weeds or nutsedge. We also provide aeration and overseeding services. Do-it-yourself customers purchase the products (in person or from our GARDEN SHOP) and then pick it up from our warehouse in Ellisville. We ship all of our products out for state, except for the heavy bags of fertilizers.
Customers can sign up for our free newsletters, which are sent out 2 to 4 times per month during the growing season. We tell when and how to apply the products we promote and sell. Purchasing customers are encouraged to submit their questions via email, for all lawn and garden issues. Horticultural experts, and even other lawn care companies, consider our newsletter as one of the best in the industry! It’s like having your own turf answer man at your disposal.
How is THE Turf Plan® Different from the Other Guys
Our three programs are designed to do what’s best for your turf, not what’s best for cash flow. We use the products ourselves, and we don’t sell junk. Proper nitrogen fertilizer timing is the secret to our success. Our plans build up a strong root system at the right time of the year, which is critical to keeping the grass green through the dog days of summer. Even the worst of plans can give you green grass in the spring. Many competitive programs use way too much nitrogen at the wrong times, creating a succulent turf with weak roots…and the lawn usually burns up in August or succumbs to disease.
How Do I Get Started
The first article you should read is “Know Your Sward Size” over on the left side of the homepage. You’ve got to know how much grass you’re taking care of, so that you apply the right amount of fertilizer and pesticides. You won’t get there by under-applying or over-applying.
Then come see us at the warehouse and we’ll work with you to customize your plan of attack. The articles on the homepage, combined with our newsletters, will help you grow the best turf you’ve ever had.
